Dylan Beneteau
From a young age, Dylan was captivated by the rhythmic allure of drums, convincing his mom to let him set up a drum kit in their family garage when he was just 12 years old. Dylan is largely self-taught, honing his skills by playing along to a diverse soundtrack of my favourite tunes. Although he took a hiatus from drumming in my 20s, he reignited his passion for percussion a few years ago and has been enthusiastically back on the beat ever since.
By day, Dylab is the head chef at a bustling Toronto restaurant, where he brings the same energy and creativity to the kitchen as he does to his music. Dylan’s musical influences span rock, funk, blues, and country, enriching his drumming style with a versatile and dynamic flair.
When he’s not behind the drum kit or leading the kitchen, he enjoys playing guitar, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, exploring new destinations, and spending quality time with his dog. Music and cooking are not just hobbies for Dylan; they are essential parts of who he is, each feeding into the other in a continuous cycle of inspiration and expression.
